re-imagined outdoor spaces

A veritable jungle of overgrown ferns and weeds dominated the part of this client’s backyard. To transform the space, the existing vegetation was removed, the yard graded and then our work began. A stone patio for formal dining, a reimagined deck for lounging, and attractive shrubs, perennials, and specimen trees were added. Durable, attractive outdoor furniture was sourced for both the dining and lounging areas.

To bump the sensory experience a large custom piece of decorative steel artwork was fabricated as well as a matching water feature - over which a gentle waterfall cascades. Backlit lighting completes the mood.

The front yard makeover included linear retaining walls, the addition of a cobble natural stone walkway to the street, and a re-faced stone porch and pillars to complement the house colour. The addition of dedicated lighting using fabricated metal was employed for street addresses and a house wall sconce.

Corten steel garden bollards were used to highlight paths and the new plant material.
The owner was delighted with his “transitional” and striking front yard!
